The Route

Sunday Mass is usually celebrated at 7 am in the church at Maskinongé. Afterwards our route takes us 37 km through Louiseville to Yamachiche for lunch; and then on to camp beside the church of Notre Dame de la Visitation in the town of Pointe-du-Lac. In the early- to mid-evening we sing Compline in the church at Pointe-du-Lac.

On Saturday we walk 42 km, mainly along the river, to the town of Maskinongé; Mass is normally at 10:15 at Sainte-Geneviève-de-Berthier, but some years Mass will occur in Lanoraie at 6:30 a.m. before we start.

Monday we return to the river and walk 25 km on the riverbank and through Trois-Rivières, where we pause for an early lunch, normally in the park opposite the Ursuline Convent. We then walk together with with family and friends newly arrived for the last few km to Cap-de-la-Madeleine, arriving about 13:15 hours for Mass in the little shrine dedicated to Our Lady of the Cape, Queen of the Holy Rosary and Patroness and Protectress of Canada.
